PSL 2020: Shane Watson willing to come in PSL fifth edition

Former Australian Captain Shane Watson has expressed his feelings to come Pakistan for upcoming Pakistan Super League 2020. Shane Watson took part in Pakistan Super League 2019.

Shane Watson enjoyed his game during his previous visit and said that it was the memorable time he spent in Pakistan. Shane Watson said, “I am very excited to come to Pakistan and play for Super League matches 2020,” adding that “I know there are lots of my fans waiting for my arrival,”.

Watson was the highest run-getter as he amassed 430 runs in 12 matches in the previous edition at a blistering strike rate of 143.81 and an average of 43.He made four half-centuries. His highest score was 91 not out.

On the PSL’s Twitter account, “I can’t wait to come back to Pakistan and play in season five,” Watson said in a video. “I had an amazing experience in Karachi during the last Pakistan Super League”.

The Quetta Gladiators batsman scored 71 and defended 21 off the ball in the last over during the qualifier against Peshawar Zalmi to send his team into the final.

“To be able to connect with the cricket-loving fans in Pakistan and experience Quetta Gladiators winning their first PSL was an amazing experience and one of the highlights of my career.” Watson said.

“The team of gladiators is the team of excellent players and it will perform the best” said the Australian player, adding that, “World class cricketers took part in the game and also the small format does not create any burden for the players”.

Shane Watson said that it was a very challenging series, answering to a question about PSL matches, as the bowling standard is very excellent. He also said that he has an excellent experience of last year of playing for the Super league 2019 in Quetta.

“In the final of last edition, the atmosphere was seen in Karachi. The security arrangements were excellent. I know there are a large number of my fans waiting for me”, Said Watson.

The PSL matches will be played in various cities of the country next year in February.
